STBU migration – questions & answers

Why do I have to burn my tokens?+

Burning retires your old STBU so the same supply isn't counted twice on two chains, and it creates a public on-chain receipt proving the tokens were yours. That receipt is what you claim your new STBU against, 1:1.

Where do my new tokens go?+

To the exact same wallet you burned from, on Base. That's why you must burn from a wallet you control on Base.

Can I burn from Binance or an exchange?+

No. You can't claim from an address you don't hold the keys to. Withdraw your STBU to a self-custody wallet first, then burn from there.

When can I claim?+

From 15 September 2026 – the same day the burn window closes. Burn your old STBU before 15 September; from that date you mint your new STBU on Base, 1:1, to the same wallet.

Is there a deadline to burn?+

Yes. The burn window closes 15 September 2026 – burn your old STBU before then. Claiming (minting) on Base opens the same day, 15 September, and stays open afterward. Only ever act on dates shown here at stbu.stobox.io or on official Stobox channels.

What does it cost?+

Proving wallet ownership is free. You pay the normal network fee (gas) to send the burn, and a small Base fee to claim. Stobox charges nothing.

What's the exchange rate?+

1:1 – one old STBU burned equals one new STBU on Base.

I lost access to my wallet, or bought STBU OTC with no burn. What now?+

Contact official Stobox support with proof. After verification, Stobox can allocate your tokens to a wallet you control (approved by two team members). It then claims like any other balance.

Is this safe? How do I avoid scams?+

Only use stbu.stobox.io, only send the official STBU token to 0x…dEaD, and never share your seed phrase. Stobox will never DM you first or ask you to "sync/validate" your wallet elsewhere.

Do I owe tax on this?+

We can't give tax advice. A 1:1 migration may or may not be taxable where you live – check with a qualified professional.

Do I need ETH on Base to claim?+

Yes – claiming is an on-chain transaction, so keep a small amount of ETH on Base for gas. It's usually only a few cents. Stobox charges nothing on top.

Can I burn in several transactions or across several chains?+

Yes. Every confirmed burn – on any of the four chains, in any number of transactions – adds to the same eligible balance for that wallet. Burn whatever you hold, any time before the 15 September 2026 deadline.

Does my STBU price or my holdings change?+

No. It's a 1:1 swap of the same token onto one chain. You end up with the same number of STBU; nothing is diluted or revalued by the migration itself.

Will my exchange migrate for me?+

No. STBU is not listed on a centralised exchange and we have no exchange listing plans at this time. Legacy STBU was delisted, Stobox runs no pool for it, and nothing sent to an exchange is credited. You claim yourself, from the wallet that burned.

How do I see the new STBU in my wallet?+

After you claim, add the Base STBU contract address to your wallet as a custom token. You can copy it from the About STBU tab.

STBU

The permanent, official home of Stobox Token. Only trust stbu.stobox.io and the verified contracts published here.

Disclaimer. STBU is a utility token. It gives no right to profit, dividend, vote, redemption or conversion, and we promise no price, listing or return. Nothing here is a solicitation to buy or sell, or financial, legal or tax advice. The migration is 1:1. The determined issuance is 216,563,456 STBU, the figure Stobox Innovations has set and publishes against, inside a contract cap of 250,000,000; any increase requires a resolution published 30 days before a mint relies on it, and minting is switched off for good immediately after claims close on 31 December 2026. Claims close on 31 December 2026, 23:59 UTC. Only ever use stbu.stobox.io; Stobox will never message you first or ask for your seed phrase, private key or a payment. Figures update live from the chain; a dash appears wherever a value is not yet available.
